President
Duties and Responsibilities
· Encourage participation and increase attendance at monthly training sessions. · Promote growth/retention of members of the Battlefield Manassas-Dulles (goal: 95%). · Increase attendance at monthly meetings by 5% (goal: 40 per meeting). · Maintain a succession process for Chapter officers. · Improve the effectiveness of the newsletter by promoting electronic delivery. · Actively promote the contract management profession. · Involve senior contracts management in Chapter activities by continuing a Chapter Board of Advisors. · Update and submit Long Range Plan and Annual Operating Plan. · Evaluate and encourage members of the Chapter for future board member participation.
Performance Schedule
· By August 15 of each year, review and approve newsletter deadlines to all officers, directors and chairs. · On or before August 31 of each year, submit Long Range Plan and Annual Operating Plan to Regional Vice President, Regional Vice President-Elect and National President. Review and approve chapter budget.

· Assist President in President’s Duties and Responsibilities listed above. · Transition responsibilities from President for the following year by being involved with the duties of the President. · Evaluate and encourage members of the Chapter for future board member participation. · Develop suggestions to improve Chapter Newsletter content.
Performance Schedule
· On or before August 31 of each year, assist President in submitting the Long Range Plan and Annual Operating Plan to Regional Vice President and National President. · On or before July 15, submit to the Chapter Board an Annual Operating Plan and Annual Budget request for the program year. The Plan should include (as a minimum) a description of the VP-Operation’s goals and the method of attaining those goals. · Substitute for the Chapter President at all functions that the President is unable to attend. |

Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist President in President’s Duties and Responsibilities listed above. · Promote educational opportunities to members through the monthly speaker program. · Evaluate members of the Chapter for future board member participation. · Encourage members to take CPCM/CACM by providing training. · Work with members and non-members to identify appropriate courses to be brought into the Washington DC area. · Identify, list, and keep current a database of local and Chapter CM educators. · Promote NCMA education products and services. · Encourage and assist members in writing educational manuals for national publication. Performance Schedule
· On or before July 15, submit to the Chapter Board an Annual Operating Plan and Annual Budget request for the program year. The Plan should include (as a minimum) a description of the VP Education’s goals and the method of attaining those goals. · On or before August 1, select preferred dates for Chapter NES. · Provide education information required to Newsletter Editor/Chair no later than deadlines as established by Newsletter Editor/Chair. · Solicit questions and answers for the CPCM/CACM exams. Recruit graders and proctors for each exam. · Solicit volunteers to lead and organize study sessions. · Increase certified members by 10% this year. |

Duties and Responsibilities
· Encourage new members to submit application through the Chapter membership chair directly to ensure that new members receive the Chapter newsletter on a more timely basis. · Provide a letter of welcome to new members. · Maintain a membership table at each monthly meeting. · Obtain and distribute membership and anniversary pins to members. · Identify individuals, companies and agencies who may be interested in joining or having employees join NCMA. · Promote membership value. · Identify new members at all NCMA functions. · Provide Newsletter Editor/Chair and Secretary with updated membership information. · Establish a sub-chair for membership retention. Prepare the membership retention plan for submittal to National. · Evaluate members of the Chapter for future board member participation. Performance Schedule
· On or before July 15, submit to the Chapter Board an Annual Operating Plan and Annual Budget request for the program year. The Plan should include (as a minimum) a description of the VP Membership’s goals and the method of attaining those goals. · Within five days of receipt, forward membership drop, delinquent, due and new member reports to Newsletter Chair. · Issue letters and pins to members as required. · Provide membership data required to Newsletter Editor/Chair no later than deadlines as established by Newsletter Editor/Chair. · Prepare and submit the membership retention plan to National by August 31. · Support NCMA promotional products. · Coordinate or conduct three "VIP" visits per year to large companies or agencies interested in NCMA. · Track membership statistics and report as a minimum on a monthly basis. |

Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain checking account and associated duties. · Coordinate with officers regarding expenses. · Evaluate members of the Chapter for future board member participation. Performance Schedule · Provide monthly transaction financial report to the President at each monthly meeting. · Submit to and assist with an annual audit. · Complete and distribute Chapter Financial Report for Graalman by July 20 for financial period July 1 through June 30. · Complete NES, and Fast Response Seminar accounting within 20 days of program date.

Duties and Responsibilities · Assist with Chapter correspondence as requested by the Board of Directors. · Take minutes of all Board meetings and distribute copies of such minutes to the Board of Directors. · Evaluate members of the Chapter for future board member participation. · Upon notification from Newsletter Chair and/or Webmaster that the newsletter has been posted, send electronic notification to members · Update and maintain Chapter database. · Promote the improvement of a Battlefield Manassas-Dulles Internet Web Page. · Update and maintain email distribution list. · Coordinate chapter newsletter · Coordinate members’ needs. · Arrange for preparation, printing and distribution of Chapter directory. · Provide registration table and reservations for monthly meetings, NES and any other chapter sponsored program. · On or before August 31, distribute current Chapter directory. Performance Schedule · Forward all membership reports to Membership Chair as posted by National. · Prepare Chapter correspondence as requested. · Distribute minutes within thirty (30) days of each Board meeting. |

Duties and Responsibilities The National Director is elected by the Chapter in accordance with the National Bylaws and Chapter Bylaws and is responsible and accountable to the National President and to the Chapter President for fulfilling assigned duties and for effectively representing the Chapter at the National Board of Directors’ (BD) meetings. The National Director will be responsible to the National President for the following: · Participating, as a member of the BD, in the governance of the Association and in establishing national policy to guide the Association in the best interests of the members. · Advising the National President as to the Chapter’s needs, desires, or recommendations regarding existing or potential national policies or requirements. · Interpreting of national policies and requirements at the Chapter level and surveillance of Chapter activities to ensure adherence to national policy and objectives. · Acting as the National President’s representative at Chapter functions on subjects which require Chapter coordination before BD action. · Efficiently and effectively performing the national function and/or special assignment for which responsibility has been assigned by the National President. As the Chapter’s representative to the BD and a member of the Chapter, the National Director is responsible to the Chapter President for the following: · Representing the chapter at all possible BD meetings. If unable to attend, arranging timely selection, appointment, and instruction of a competent alternate in accordance with the National Bylaws. · Serving as a member of the Chapter Executive Assembly. · Providing an appropriate synopsis of each BD meeting and activity to the Chapter Executive Assembly and general membership. · Evaluate members of the Chapter for future board member participation. Performance Schedule · On or before July 15, submit to the Chapter Board an Annual Operating Plan and Annual Budget request for the program year. The Plan should include (as a minimum) a description of the National Director’s goals and the method of attaining those goals. · Within ten days after each BD meeting attended, provide a brief informal summary report of pertinent Board actions to the Chapter Executive Assembly. · Within 30 days after assignment of responsibility for a national activity, submit to the National President a written outline and milestone schedule of the expected achievements. · Attend BD and Council of Fellows meetings and, when possible, support and attend National, Regional and Special Topic Educational Conferences. · On or before July 1 the outgoing National Director will deliver to the incoming National Director all books, records, data, reports, and any other Association property for which the Director is responsible and accountable. · Provide any information/details required to Newsletter Editor/ Chair no later than deadlines as established by Newsletter |
